David J. Barney

Mr. Barney joined Optima in October 2001 with over 12 years of experience in the alternative investment industry.
Prior to joining Optima, Mr. Barney was the Director of Alternative Investments for Heritage Finance & Trust Company in Geneva, Switzerland.
He was responsible for portfolio performance, marketing strategy and strategic orientation.
Previous to Heritage, Mr. Barney established and managed a diversified fund of funds for the family office of LH Financial.
Additionally, Mr. Barney was a Senior Vice President for Potomac Capital, a global macro hedge fund, and has traded fixed income, currencies and commodities for Intercapital Debt Trading and Drexel Burnham Lambert.
Mr. Barney earned a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Arts from St. Andrews University.
