Mr. Hodgson started his career as an Accountancy Trainee with Darlington Health Authority in 1982.
However his interest in shares led him to apply to his local stockbrokers in Middlesbrough for a position in their settlement department in 1987.
Following Black Monday, Mr. Hodgson was relocated to Glasgow to work in the Allied Provincial Settlement center and in 1993, he joined one of the client facing investment teams.
Allied Provincial morphed into Gerrard and then Barclays Wealth but in late 2008 following redundancy, he joined Fyshe Horton Finney and established their Glasgow presence and many of his clients also moved with him.
Following the demise of Fyshe Horton Finney in March 2013, he was very happy to pick up his career with the Glasgow Office of Redmayne-Bentley.
