Brenda Wendling serves as print buyer/purchasing director for DRG.
She began working at The Needlecraft Shop, a sister company in Big Sandy, Texas, on Nov.
6, 1989 as the publisher's assistant.
Shortly thereafter she moved into the product development department as design coordinator.
After working seven years in Texas, she transferred to House of White Birches to work in the editorial department.
After gaining experience editing Old-Time Crochet, beginning three direct-mail series and working with plastic canvas and crochet pattern books and the Collectible Doily Series, Wendling accepted the position of manager of the newly formed publishing services department in May 1999.
This position oversees the technical editing, photography and graphic layout of all publications.
In April 2002 she became the print buyer for all DRG print product, hiring Brenda Gallmeyer to manage the publishing services day-to-day operations.
In January 2003 she added purchasing for the DRG kit series components to her duties.
