It's product portfolio includes Semi-finished steel in the form of slabs, blooms or billets to make long products; Hot rolled products to be used in the petrochemicals, construction, shipbuilding and general engineering industries; Wire rod; Coated steels for white goods, computer and hi-fi chassis, heating and ventilation; Tubes and pipes for oil and gas pipelines to general construction and manufacturing. The company produces and sells steel, of which 99% consists of carbon and high-strength low-alloy steel grades, it is also a participant in an iron ore production joint venture and certain steel-finishing joint ventures. The Company has two divisionsÌthe Flat Products division and the Bar division. The Flat Products division manages the Company's iron ore operations, conducts its ironmaking operations, and produces the major portion of its raw steel. This division also manufactures and sells steel sheet, strip and certain related semi-finished products for the automotive, steel service center, appliance, office furniture and electrical motor markets. The Bar division manufactures and sells special quality bars and certain related semi-finished products to the automotive industry directly as well as through forgers and cold finishers, and also sells to steel service centers and heavy equipment manufacturers.
