Angela Eager

Ms. Angela Eager is Senior Research Analyst at Ovum Europe Ltd.
She is in the Software Enterprise Applications team.
She moved to Ovum after it integrated Butler Group into its own business brand to give their clients an access to a wider and deeper technology research that draws on its collaborative intelligence approach.
Her specialist area is enterprise applications, which includes business applications such as CRM and ERP, plus topics including application infrastructure, BI, and business process management, where they interface with enterprise applications.
She also covers application models and deployment areas such as SaaS.
Ms. Eager has extensive experience in the enterprise applications area, having spent the last nine years analysing this sector.
Since joining in January 2008, she has managed and contributed to several reports.
She managed and was the lead analyst on the Evolving enterprise applications report, and has contributed to a range of other reports including Document and records management and SOA adoption and the hosted CRM decision matrix.
In addition to report writing and other forms of written analysis, she has been involved with bespoke consulting projects, working closely with clients on enterprise application selection and evaluation, and presents at Ovum events.
Before joining Ovum, she gained extensive experience of end-user issues via her roles as an editor and media consultant.
She was executive editor of PC Magazine, editor of PC User, launch editor and editor of the UK edition of InformationWeek, and principal analyst at ComputerWire.
Much of her work involved writing for C-level executives, addressing enterprise IT from a comparative review and strategic assessment perspective.
She has hands-on experience of comparative assessments of enterprise applications, covering specification, project scope, overseeing implementation, and testing and assessing the software from a user perspective.
