In 1983, he joined Citibank in Paris where he was in charge of Fixed Income and Derivatives Trading.
In 1991, he joined Caisse Nationale de Crédit Agricole where he served as Head of Treasury and Fixed Income until 1994 when he was appointed Head of Capital Markets.
He served as Head of Capital Markets at Credit Agricole Indosuez (CAI) until 2001, when he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of CAI, later to become Calyon.
In 2005 he became a member of the Executive Committee of Amundi with responsibility for overseeing Employee Saving Plans.
Mr. Watson graduated with an Honors Degree in Modern Languages from the University of Cardiff (1972).
