Alessandro Raimondo

Dr. Alessandro Raimondo is a Medical Applications Officer at Caisse de pensions du CERN.
He joined CERN’s Knowledge Transfer Group in September 2018 as Knowledge Transfer Officer for Medical Applications, with the asset of deep knowledge of the Organization both in the technology and administrative domains.
He first came at CERN in 1995 working as an experimental particle physicist; then he became fellow in 1999 and staff in 2001, being responsible for a variety of activities in the domains of data acquisition, control, and measurement systems for the accelerator and technology sector.
In 2012, he decided to move to the administration sector to work mainly for the CERN Pension Fund, covering different roles including the vice-chair of the Governing Board and chair of the Investments Committee.
He holds a Ph.D.
in Physics (1997) from the University of Turin and an MBA (2016) from the Guglielmo Marconi University of Rome.
He also holds the qualifications of Professional Physics (2019) and Certified Internal Auditor (2017) with a Master on Fraud Investigation (2019).
