Aidan Byrnes, B.E.
(Chem), M.I.E., graduated in Chemical Engineering from University College Dublin, where he later obtained a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering.
He commenced his industrial career in Irish Cement Limited, a subsidiary of CRH plc.
He also held the positions of Senior Executive (Research and Development Division) with the Industrial Development Authority and Production Manager in a division of Clondalkin Paper Mills.
During a career spanning 20 years with AIB, he was a Director of AIB Venture Capital and Allied Combined Trust and also a director of a number of the leading companies in the investment portfolio.
He is a former Chairman of the Irish Venture Capital Association.
