Mr. Sterner received his BS degree in Business Administration in 1971 from the University of Kansas.
Before joining Waddell & Reed, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer with The Merchants Bank of Kansas City from August 1985 to July 1992.
His investment experience since 1975 includes prior affiliations with Traders Bank, and Plaza Bank and Trust Company, both of Kansas City, and Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith.
