Mr. Banks is a vice president in Oaktree’s GFI Energy Group, which executes the Power Opportunities investment strategy.
He currently serves as a board observer of Enercon Services, Inc., Richards Manufacturing, and TPI Composites and previously was a board observer of Sterling Solutions.
Prior to joining Oaktree in 2021, Mr. Banks was a private equity associate at Riverstone Holdings, where he was responsible for evaluating and supporting investments in the energy, power and infrastructure sectors.
Before that, Mr. Banks was an investment banking analyst with Petrie Partners, where he focused on mergers & acquisitions in the energy sector.
Mr. Banks received a B.B.A. in finance with an energy management concentration from Southern Methodist University.
