BV Group is an active manager which invests in middle-market companies located in Switzerland. The firm provides equity financing for succession, growth capital requirements, management buyout and buy in, acquisition, innovation and restructuring transactions, as well as co-investments. BV Group invests in the technology sector, and industries such as medical technology services, IT & telecommunication, industry, material and process industries.

BV is an active, entrepreneurial investment manager. The firm focuses on medium-sized businesses, and invests in MBO and MBI deals linked to corporate successions, as well as in expansion financing. They may also invest selectively in restructuring operations and in innovation-based businesses. They take a mid- to long-term investment approach. They favor companies with positive cash-flow and a yearly turnover between CHF 15 million and CHF 150 million. BV also considers lower turnover when substantial growth is expected or if the firm is a likely candidate for synergies with one of their existing portfolio companies. BV's geographic focus is Switzerland and neighboring countries. They invest between CHF 1 million and CHF 20 million per company, across sectors but avoiding real estate and distressed firms. They are particularly interested in firms with a strong market position within micro- and medical-technology, life sciences, IT and telecommunications technology, industry-, material- and process-technology, and certain services. They seek to acquire minority or majority interests. They invest in direct equity and through convertible loans, either as the lead investor or in syndication. They take active participation through Board representation and exercise shareholder rights. BV's targeted exit horizon is three to seven years. Their preferred exit strategy is through trade sales.
