Mr. Palmer became a Senior Portfolio Manager—Style Blend Equities in 2005.
He had joined the firm as a senior portfolio manager for US equities in 2000 and in 2002 had become a member of the US Value Equity Investment Policy Group, a position he retains.
From 1990 to 2000, Mr. Palmer was managing director of Wilshire Associates in Minneapolis and Los Angeles.
Prior to that, he was investment manager for Diversified Energies, Inc. in 1989, and from 1982 to 1988 he was a quantitative analyst and manager in the investment group at American Express Financial Advisors.
Mr. Palmer earned a BA in economics from Wheaton College and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
