Mr. McDonnell is an Operating Partner on the Healthcare team, having joined WCAS in 2013.
Mr. McDonnell works with portfolio companies to define and execute effective reimbursement strategies and risk-based arrangements with commercial and governmental payors.
He works directly with portfolio company executives on both strategic and tactical plans to optimize reimbursement rates and on operational diligence for new investments.
Before joining WCAS, Mr. McDonnell was a partner at SavvySherpa, Inc., a healthcare innovation firm.
Prior to that, he was with UnitedHealth Group, serving as the President and CEO of UnitedHealth Networks and as General Counsel of UnitedHealthcare.
