Marc Joel Shapiro
Profile
Mr. Shapiro graduated from Duke University with a degree in Accounting in 1977 and received his MBA from Wake Forest University, emphasizing Finance.
Following graduation, he joined Allied Chemical, which merged into Honeywell International Inc., as a financial analyst and portfolio manager.
From 1984-1992, Mr. Shapiro managed the Warner-Lambert pension fund.
In 1992, he returned to Honeywell, where he had portfolio management responsibility for the internally managed US equity portfolios and served on the investment committees for the UK and Canadian pension plans.
Mr. Shapiro was instrumental in the creation and marketing of the Select Core Equity Portfolio Series 2005 for Ryan Beck in January of 2005.
He operated MJS Asset Management, managing the assets of high net worth clients.
MJS Assets has merged into Value Architects Asset Management.
Mr. Shapiro co-created and marketed the Value Architects Healthcare Score for First Trust.
He has completed the Harvard Business School Executive program on behavioral investing and is Six Sigma certified.
