The firm’s equity strategies generally follow a bottom-up, fundamental approach focused on finding investments with attractive risk/reward profiles. Fixed income strategies generally follow a fundamental, relative value approach focused on capital preservation and income. Alternative strategies generally focus on generating absolute, risk-adjusted returns that have low correlation to the broad equity market.

Rail-Splitter uses fundamental analysis on equities of all market capitalizations, with emphasis on small, mid and micro names. The firm aims to identify mispriced and poorly understood opportunities in secular growth companies. Their analysts seek to build high conviction, concentrated portfolios populated with underappreciated franchises including non-consensus ideas. Rail-Splitter always invests with an emphasis on risk control and capital preservation, achieving significant above market results during high volatility periods such as the 2008 Global Financial Crisis, the 2018 recession scare, and the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic.

Delta uses fundamental, company, industry and sector analysis along with quantitative analysis to construct portfolios. Typically, the process used is a multiple step screening process that is adjusted on periodic intervals not less than annually. The firm creates a personalized portfolio that may include stocks, bonds, cash, and/or other securities based on the client’s specific needs.
