Dr. Jan Baars is a Co-Head of Multi-Asset Solutions at First Sentier Investors (Singapore).
He has over 27 years of investment experience in strategic investment advice, quantitative risk management, asset and liability management as well as day to day portfolio management of diversified alternatives portfolios.
Previous roles include, Founding Partner of Worldview Investment Consulting, Executive Director and member of the Global Portfolio Solutions Team at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and actuary at Zurich Insurance.
Prior to his career in investments, he was a Professor of Mathematics at both the University of Amsterdam and York University, Toronto.
Mr. Baars holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Amsterdam and is an actuary and member of the Dutch Actuarial Society.
