Mr. Duffy was also on a number of subsidiary company boards, including UPS Capital, Service Parts Logistics and the UPS Stores.
As the Senior Vice President of Strategy, his primary responsibility was to reposition UPS in the global marketplace and to more fully participate in the global supply chain.
This was accomplished by increasing the UPS capability in the three flows of commerce - goods, funds, and information.
Also in his role of Senior Vice President of Strategy, he provided leadership in positioning a new UPS mission and charter as the "Enabler of Global Commerce." This was accomplished by increasing the capabilities through both organic growth and acquisitions.
Since his retirement from UPS, Jack has been a senior advisor to a number of private equity and technology firms focusing on the supply chain sector.
Mr. Duffy received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Boston College and has completed executive education programs at INSEAD and Columbia University.
He also has been a guest lecturer on strategy at the Business Schools of Harvard, Yale, and Emory.
