Ms. Lew is currently heading a private consulting practice for institutional investors and fund managers.
She is also currently on the Board of Directors of the Czech/Slovak American Enterprise Fund and serves on the NASDAQ Hearing, Listing and Review Council.
From 1998 through 2005 she was the general partner of the Telecommunications Development Fund, a $50 million venture capital fund investing in a broad range of communications businesses.
Prior that time she was Deputy Administrator and Chief Operating Officer of the US Small Business Administration (1996 to 1998) and General Counsel to the US Department of Commerce (1994 to 1996), where she specialized in technology and international trade.
During her career she has also been a founder of technology start ups and a management consultant with Ernst & Young, as well as holding other policy making positions in the US government.
Ms. Lew has BA in Political Science from UCLA and a JD from the University of California Berkeley (Boalt Hall).
