Alard Kaplan has been Vice President of Major Projects for Marathon Oil Corp.
since December 2003.
Prior to Marathon, he was a Director of LNG for Foster Wheeler's Houston office.
Previously, he held various positions at Mobil from 1973 to 1995 and he has around 10 years experience with North Sea projects.
Mr. Kaplan was Technical Manager for the Thai-Malaysian development of Triton Energy and project manager for the Ceiba field FPSO development.
After the Ceiba project, he joined Foster Wheeler in 2001and became Director of LNG for the company's Houston office.
He received a BS degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla in 1972.
He is a Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
