SAO PAULO, May 8 (Reuters) - Brazilian fuel distributor Vibra Energia said on Wednesday its first-quarter net profit increased by nearly ten times compared to a year earlier, beating analysts' expectations.

The company, which operates a chain of gas stations and sells fuel directly to companies, reported net profit of 789 million reais ($154.99 million), while analysts expected 623.9 million reais, according to LSEG data.
