(Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Thursday, boosted by materials stocks tracking higher prices of metals, while investors parsed through corporate earnings in the U.S. and Canada.

At 9:31 a.m. ET (13:31 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was up 63.76 points, or 0.29%, at 22,322.92.
