BEIJING, May 9 (Reuters) - China's northwestern city of Xian said it will ease all home purchase restrictions, according to a notice released by the city's housing authority on Thursday, in a move to boost home sales.

The city will also allow private companies and government-affiliated institutions to buy second-hand housing and newly-built apartments, according to the notice. (Reporting by Liangping Gao and Ryan Woo; Editing by Jacqueline Wong)
