Volkswagen has parted ways with its Chief Human Resources Officer, Gunnar Kilian, with immediate effect.
The automaker announced on Friday that "the reason for this decision is differing views regarding the management of subsidiary companies." Thomas Schäfer will temporarily assume Kilian's responsibilities as HR chief on the Group's management board. "Gunnar Kilian has played a key role in the Group's transformation efforts in recent years," said Supervisory Board Chairman Hans Dieter Pötsch. "He has positioned the HR department for the future and was significantly involved in the realignment of the commercial vehicles business."
