Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) and Engie (through its electric charging subsidiary Engie Vianeo) are to create a new jointly owned company to develop electric vehicle charging stations.
The company will finance, design, connect, install, and operate fast and ultra-fast charging stations for electric vehicles.
As part of this partnership, 50 kW fast charging stations and 400 kW ultra-fast charging stations will be installed in 12 URW Group shopping centers in France.
Installation work on the sites will begin in summer 2025. The first stations are scheduled to go into service in September 2025.
URW said it is very proud of this partnership with Engie, which will enable it to offer an additional, high-quality service to our customers and, by facilitating the use of electric vehicles, will contribute to achieving our goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from visitor transport by 40% by 2030.
