Venture capital firm CVC Capital has sold its entire stake in the Synsam optical chain through Theia Holdings via an investment. This was announced in a press release.
A total of 24.4 million shares, corresponding to 16.5 percent of the number of shares in Synsam, were sold for SEK 46 per share. This corresponds to a discount of 4.3 percent compared with the last closing price on Tuesday.
CVC has sold large holdings in Synsam on several previous occasions, at high discounts and with accompanying price drops. Dagens industri has called CVC's holding and expected sale "a wet blanket on the stock."
Synsam AB (publ) is a Sweden-based lifestyle company in optical retail and eye health. The Company operates stores in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands. The store network is complemented by a presence online presence via Synsam, Profil Optik and Ai's own websites and social media, where customers can buy products, book eye exams, manage their subscriptions, or try glasses directly in the mobile phone.
