Schneider Electric said it will invest more than 110 million euros ($122.8 million) into its production sites in France.
The French group said Monday that the investment is to support Europe's energy transition and digital transformation, and is scheduled to be completed by 2027.
With the energy transition, many domestic and industrial uses are being electrified and this trend calls for major investments in low-carbon electricity generation and the renewal of electricity infrastructures, the group said.
The investment includes a new plant in Macon, as well as site extensions in Aubenas and Chartres-de-Bretagne, it said.
The investment should create 150 jobs in France, it added.
