National Peroxide Limited is an India-based manufacturer of hydrogen peroxide. It specializes in manufacturing hydrogen peroxide with an installed capacity of 150,000 metric tons per annum (MTPA). It also produces the compressed hydrogen gas and peracetic acid. Its products have applications in chemical synthesis, textile bleaching, paper pulp bleaching, sugar bleaching, non-edible oil bleaching, water and effluent treatment, metallurgy, and other applications. Its other applications are in the electronics industry, polymer manufacture, cosmetics, pharmaceutical antiseptic, sterilization, dye oxidation, starch modification, and antichlor. In the electronic industry, solutions of hydrogen peroxide and sulfuric acid are used in etching of printed circuit boards and in other cleaning and etching processes throughout the industry. In polymer manufacture, hydrogen peroxide is used in the bleaching of hair, in fixing dyes by oxidation and in the permanent waving and straightening of hair.
