(Alliance News) - Knights Group Holdings PLC on Monday confirmed it has completed the takeover of Birkett Long LLP and Birket Long IFA LLP.
The Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Staffordshire-based law firm holding company has acquired Birkett Long, an independent law firm operating in Basildon, Chelmsford and Colchester, as well as the financial advisory business owned by Birkett Long members.
The deal closed in line with the original timeframe, Knights said.
"Alongside real estate and private wealth services and enhanced scale in the South East, Birkett Long brings additional expertise in areas such as landed estates, education, family and residential property," Knights said.
"The acquisition also brings a high-quality team and attractive client base into the group, which will benefit from having access to Knights' wider range of services and its established platform."
Shares in Knights were 0.9% higher at 173.62 pence on Monday afternoon in London, for an estimated market capitalisation of GBP149.2 million.
