In May, we celebrate 'Miners Day' in Brazil - an opportunity to bring together our Paracatu employees and their families to celebrate our achievements, results, and to reinforce our values and culture while being united and integrating with our loved ones.
This year, approximately 4,340 attendees participated in Miners Day where they learned from our diverse departments about the many accomplishments Kinross Paracatu made over the past year.
This included our Health and Safety team who introduced 'Safeground' - our new global approach to health and safety - and its six key principles, and our Community Relations and Human Resources teams who shared updates on important programs and initiatives including the Integrar program, Cerrado Forest and Sou+Voce.
Attendees also heard from Gilberto Azevedo, Vice-President and General Manager, Paracatu, and João Paulo Caldas, Senior Manager, Process and Maintenance, Paracatu, who shared their insights into the importance of health and safety in the workplace, and recognizing the accomplishments our workforce has made in 2025.
"Paracatu's Miners Day is a time to reflect on how we contribute to our society and to celebrate it," said Gilberto. "I would like to thank all of our employees and their loved ones for their support in making our operation successful, and for coming together to celebrate all that we have achieved."
In addition to learning more about the Company, attendees welcomed the four Paracatu finalists of the Living Our Values Awards (LOVA) program on stage, to congratulate them on their commitment to our values and being recognized for living them each day. Attendees then watched live musical performances from local artists, enjoyed a playground for children, and connected with one another by sharing a meal with their colleagues and families.
