Gujarat Natural Resources Limited is engaged in the business of oil and natural gas exploration, trading of goods and others. The Company through its subsidiary, GNRL Oil & Gas Limited, has interests in approximately six producing blocks in Cambay basin. The Company's blocks include Kanawara Block, which covers an area of over 6.3 square kilometers (sq km) and is located in the Tarapur Block north of Khambhat, Gujarat; North Kathana Block, which covers an area of approximately 12.20 sq km and is located north of the Kathana Field; Allora Block, which is located east of the Balol field and approximately 8 kilometers (kms) north west of Meshana town, India; Dholasan Block falls in the Mehsana tectonic block of cambay basin and is located to the southern flank of Sobhasan anticlinal structure. North Balol Block, which covers an area of approximately 27.3 sq km and is located 16 km west of the Meshana town, Gujarat, and Unawa Block, is located 20 km north of Mehsana town in north Gujarat.
