Marubeni Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. agreed to acquire an unknown majority stake in Dai-ichi Life Realty Asset Management Co., Ltd. and Sohgo Housing Co., Ltd. and Dai-ichi Building Co., Ltd. from Dai-ichi Life Holdings, Inc. (TSE:8750) on February 28, 2025. The consideration consists of 8000 common equity of Marubeni Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. to be issued for assets of Dai-ichi Life Realty Asset Management Co., Ltd. and Sohgo Housing Co., Ltd. and Dai-ichi Building Co., Ltd. As part of consideration, an undisclosed value is paid towards assets of Dai-ichi Life Realty Asset Management Co., Ltd. and Sohgo Housing Co., Ltd. and Dai-ichi Building Co., Ltd.
Marubeni Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. will acquire 70% stake (1162 shares) in Dai-ichi Life Realty Asset Management Co., Ltd., 85.5% stake (4446 shares) in Sohgo Housing Co., Ltd. and 100% stake (2392 shares) in Dai-ichi Building Co., Ltd. The expected completion of the transaction is July 1, 2025.
