Zach Bradford, CEO of CleanSpark, discusses the importance of political action to support the Bitcoin industry. He points out that two presidential candidates, Kennedy and Trump, have expressed their support for Bitcoin.

Regarding former President Trump's rhetoric about the need to increase electricity production to support the Bitcoin industry, Bradford says that clean energy efforts will not disappear under a potential Trump administration. CleanSpark stands out as one of the lowest-carbon Bitcoin miners in the US, using more than 80% carbon-free energy. Bradford argues that the Bitcoin industry is pushing hard towards carbon-free energy, which is essential to meeting the country's future energy goals, including electric vehicles and data centres.

Bradford believes that the development of nuclear power will be crucial to the country's energy future. Bitcoin miners can use under-utilised energy, particularly in rural areas, contributing to the prosperity of these communities. He argues that all sectors, not just Bitcoin mining, must commit to clean air and water.

Bradford believes the industry can probably manage without government intervention to create energy or opportunities. What it needs is a government that doesn't stand in the way of its efforts. CleanSpark is not asking for special treatment, just for the government not to hold back its development.
