On 23 August 2017, the board of directors of China Coal Energy Company Limited announced that Mr. Niu Jianhua (Mr. Niu) was appointed as an executive Director candidate, such appointment will be submitted to the extraordinary general meeting of the company to be convened in 2017 (EGM) to review and approve. The term of Mr. Niu will take effect from the date of approval by the shareholders of the company at the EGM until the date of constitution of the fourth session of the Board. The Board has further resolved to appoint Mr. Niu as the president of the company with immediate effect.
The terms of office of Mr. Niu as the president of the company shall be from the date of approval by the sixth meeting in 2017 of the third session of the Board to the date of constitution of the fourth session of the Board and the appointment of the new session of the senior management of the company by the fourth session of the Board. Niu Jianhua is a Senior Engineer and a Senior Professional Manager in the coal industry. He served as a Cadre of the Human Resources Division of the China Coal Research Institute, and a Deputy Chief Staff Member and Chief Staff Member of Technical Cadre Division of the Cadre Department of China National Coal Corporation, a Chief Staff Member and a Deputy Division Chief of the Technical Cadre Division of the Personnel Department of the Ministry of Coal Industry.
Mr. Niu has been working in the coal industry for more than 30 years. The Board announced that the Board has resolved to appoint Mr. Ma Gang (Mr. Ma) and Ni Jiayu (Mr. Ni) as vice presidents of the company with immediate effect. The terms of office of Mr. Ma and Mr. Ni shall be from the date of approval by the sixth meeting in 2017 of the third session of the Board to the date of constitution of the fourth session of the Board and the appointment of the new session of the senior management of the company by the fourth session of the Board.
Ma Gang has long been working in the coal industry and has rich practical experience in enterprise management, production and operation, as well as financial management. Ni Jiayu is a Vice President and the Manager of the Department of Human Resources of China Coal Energy Company Limited.
