FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - Ceconomy shares suffered on Thursday due to weaker-than-expected earnings. At midday, shares in the consumer electronics retailer were down 3.8 percent to 3.145 euros, making them one of the worst performers on the SDax.
The recovery since the beginning of May is now history. Just over three weeks ago, the shares reached a high of 3.72 euros, their highest level since spring 2022, before profit-taking sent them back down to just over 3.00 euros. Since then, they had recovered by just over 11 percent.
Analyst Volker Bosse of Baader Bank spoke of an overall solid second quarter with good progress in adjusted operating earnings, but said that sales had been weak. /ck/jha/
