Baker Hughes announces the acquisition of Continental Disc Corporation (CDC), a specialist in pressure management safety solutions, for approximately $540m in cash.
Based in Liberty, Missouri, CDC designs and manufactures rupture discs, relief valves, flame arresters, and other critical devices used in a variety of industries, including chemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, energy, and aerospace.
Its products, which complement Baker Hughes Industrial & Energy Technology's current offering, have a global installed base generating estimated recurring revenue of 80% in 2024 out of a total of $109m.
The transaction is expected to be immediately accretive to net earnings per share and cash flow, according to Baker Hughes.
The transaction will be financed with available cash. The acquisition is expected to close in Q4 2025.
