EU to Propose Deals to Give U.K., Canada Access to Defense Loans, Bloomberg Says, Citing Sources

-- The European Union will propose bilateral agreements with the U.K. and Canada as soon as the end of July, which would give them access to the bloc's new 150 billion-euro loan fund for defense production, Bloomberg reports citing people familiar with the matter.

-- The deals will allow U.K. and Canadian companies such as BAE Systems to take part in common procurements financed by the EU fund.

-- The European Commission didn't response to a request for comment from Bloomberg.
