ARM Holdings specializes in the research and development of microprocessors for the manufacturing of semiconductors and systems for digital products. The group's technology is mostly used in electronic automobile systems, audio-video products, cordless products, network equipment, security of operations and data storage. Net sales break down by source of income as follows: - royalties (52.7%); - sales of licenses (39.3%); - sales of services (4.2%): consulting, technical support, maintenance and training services; - sales of development tools (3.8%). Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Switzerland (2.7%), Germany (1.2%), the Netherlands (1%), Europe (2.3%), the United States (37.8%), China (19.3%), Taiwan (14.6%), South Korea (10.3%), Japan (7.3%), Singapore (3.1%) and other (0.4%).
