Amazon.com is restructuring its health services business.
The e-commerce giant is trying to simplify Amazon Health Services by reducing layers and hiring leaders for six distinct teams within the business, Neil Lindsay, senior vice president of AHS, said Friday.
Amazon promoted Suzanne Hansen, who has been leading One Medical Seniors strategy and performance, to head of One Medical Clinical Operations and Performance. In the new role, she is expected to help unify care-delivery models and manage costs for the clinical operations team.
One Medical Clinical Care Delivery will continue to be led by Andrew Diamond, who has been with the company for 17 years.
AHS Strategic Growth and Network Development will be led by Johnny Singerling, who has been with One Medical for six years. He will be responsible for One Medical's geographic expansion, partnerships and real estate teams.
Prakash Bulusu, who has worked at Amazon for more than 15 years, will continue as head of AHS Store, Technology and Marketing. This segment will now include marketing efforts and AHS's pay-per-visit service.
Kim Otte will stay on as head of AHS Compliance, and John Love will continue to lead AHS Pharmacy Services.
