FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX Broker) - Quarterly figures and the prospect of further share buybacks boosted Allianz shares on Thursday. The insurer's shares traded almost two percent above Wednesday's Xetra close on the Tradegate trading platform.
Allianz surprisingly increased its profit in the second quarter. The insurer also intends to expand its share buyback program.
In view of the fact that the Munich-based company intends to present a new strategic plan at the end of 2024, he is pleasantly surprised that the management does not want to wait until then and has already increased the buyback volume, wrote expert Philip Kett from investment house Jefferies./la/mis
