Airbus announces an order for 10 A330-900s from Saudia Group for its subsidiary flyadeal. This is the first order for widebody aircraft for this subsidiary, the group said.
Equipped with the latest generation Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, the A330-900 is capable of flying 13,300 km non-stop.
Saudia Group has already ordered 105 Airbus aircraft, including 54 A321neo aircraft for flyadeal in May 2024. Flyadeal currently operates a fleet of 37 A320 family aircraft and Saudia operates a fleet of 93 A320 and A330 family aircraft.
Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, EVP Sales Commercial Aircraft at Airbus, said: "The proven versatility of the A330neo, its next-generation efficiency and excellent passenger experience will perfectly support the strategic growth of Saudia Group and consolidate its position as a global aviation leader."
By the end of March 2025, the A330 family had received more than 1,800 firm orders from more than 130 clients worldwide.
