Airbus announces that airBaltic, the Latvian national carrier, has confirmed an additional order for 10 A220-300 aircraft. This new and fourth order brings the airline's total firm orders to 90 A220 aircraft.

'By exercising these options, we reinforce our unwavering support and confidence in the A220 Program, and look forward to expanding our fleet in the years ahead', commented Martin Gauss, Director of airBaltic.

Airbus points out that its A220 provides customers with a noise footprint 50% smaller than that of previous-generation aircraft, and NOx emissions around 40% below industry standards.
