ACS Group, its Chairman Florentino Pérez and the Board of Directors deeply regret the death, at the age of 73, of our board member Javier Echenique.
ACS mourns the loss of one of our great executives, who dedicated a significant part of his life for 20 years to the projection and expansion of ACS Group. We express our most sincere condolences and all our love and affection to his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends.
Javier Echenique was born in Isaba (Navarre) in 1951 and graduated in Economics and Actuarial Sciences. Throughout his career, he was director - general manager of Allianz-Ercos, general manager of the BBVA Group, vice-chairman of Banco Sabadell and director of Grupo Empresarial ENCE S.A. Currently, he was director and member of the Executive Committee of ACS Group, Actividades de Construcción y Servicios S.A. and director of Dragados, S.A. He was also member of the Board of Patrons of the Novia Salcedo Foundation and of the Altuna Foundation, as well as vice-chairman and coordinating director of Telefónica, S.A.
