New orders for heavy trucks in North America fell in October - ACT Research (update)
Orders for heavy-duty trucks (class-8) in North America were provisionally at 30,600 units in October. This is a decrease of 5.2 percent at an annual rate and lower than the previous month. This is according to recent statistics from ACT Research.
The Bank of Åland writes in its morning letter that the figure was slightly higher than their estimate.
"This corresponds to an annualized order level of 294,000 vehicles, which together with the September figure is clearly up from the previous level of 220,000 vehicles and in line with Volvo's estimate of 300,000 vehicles for 2025," the bank writes.
Volvo and Traton, among others, sell heavy trucks in the North American market.
