Orders for heavy trucks (class-8) in North America provisionally stood at 37,200 units in November. This is a decrease of 10.8% year-on-year but higher than 30,600 units in October. This shows recent statistics from ACT Research.

Volvo and Traton, among others, sell heavy trucks in the North American market.

Kepler Cheuvreux has commented on the statistics.

"Overall, ACT's November orders were slightly better than expected, given that the fall months are normally good when truck manufacturers have opened up order books for next year. However, truck markets seem to have normalized and Volvo has adjusted capacity to current demand," Kepler Cheuvreux wrote in a commentary.
