June 13 (Reuters) - Indian banks' loans rose 9% in the two weeks to May 30 from a year earlier, while deposits rose 9.9%, the Reserve Bank of India's weekly statistical supplement showed on Friday.

Outstanding loans rose 598.85 billion rupees ($6.96 billion) to 182.88 trillion rupees in the two weeks to May 30.

Non-food credit rose 573.82 billion rupees to 182.17 trillion rupees, while food credit rose 25.02 billion rupees to 705.81 billion rupees.

Bank deposits rose 2.85 trillion rupees to 231.73 trillion rupees in the two weeks to May 30.
