(Alliance News) - The Mib rose above 40,300 points on Thursday, thanks to easing tariff fears, which boosted investor sentiment. In Milan, 21% of stocks were up, 10% were down, 2% were unchanged, while 67% were not yet traded. The total value is over EUR1.0 billion.

On Wednesday evening, a US federal trade court ruled that former President Donald Trump had exceeded his powers in imposing reciprocal tariffs, dealing a blow to one of the pillars of his economic agenda.

As a result, the FTSE Mib is up 0.6% at 40,351.45 points with a put/call ratio of 0.67.

The FTSE 100 in London is rising just above par, the CAC 40 in Paris is up 0.9%, and the DAX 40 in Frankfurt is gaining 0.6%.

Among the smaller indices, the Mid-Cap is up 0.5% at 54,935.64, the Small-Cap is up 0.3% at 31,948.55, while the Italy Growth is up 0.4% at 8,061.89.

On the Mib, STMicroelectronics remains at the top of the list, where it has been since the opening bell, up 3.0% to EUR23.03 per share after a 0.5% decline in the previous session.

Stellantis advanced 2.5% after the appointment of Antonio Filosa as its new CEO. The decision came as expected and under the supervision of John Elkann: the board of directors unanimously approved his appointment, entrusting him with the role previously held by Carlos Tavares until December 2024.

The stock also has the highest trading value, with volumes of over EUR102 million.

Unipol, on the other hand, is up 1.9% at EUR17.20. It should be noted that Barclays has raised its target price on the stock to EUR17.50 from EUR16.50.

Interpump is up 1.8% after a 0.1% decline the previous day, with a monthly gain of over 16%.

Italgas, on the other hand, is down 1.7%, heading for its third session to close with a bearish candle.

Leonardo is down 0.6%, subject to profit taking after four bullish sessions.

In the second tier, Salvatore Ferragamo is performing best, advancing 4.7% after yesterday's 1.3% decline, with a price of EUR5.89.

De'Longhi is also performing well, up 5.4% to EUR29.32 after yesterday's 1.6% decline. It should be noted that Barclays has raised its target price to EUR30.00 from the previous EUR23.00.

Technoprobe rose 3.0% after losing 3.1% in the previous session.

At the bottom of the table, Maire is down 2.6%, closing the second tier index and following on from a 0.9% decline in the previous session.

Fincantieri is also lagging behind, losing 1.7%. It should be noted that since the beginning of 2025, the stock has posted gains of over 130%.

On the Small-Cap index, Bestbe Holding led the way with a 6.5% gain, after falling 4.1% the previous day.

Eems is up 4.0%, after losing 4.8% in the previous session.

ALTEA Green Power is also performing well, reaching a new 52-week high of EUR 8.69 per share.

CSP International is down 3.6%, ending a seven-session bullish streak.

SYS-DAT, down 9.0%, announced that Vittorio Neuroni, Matteo Luigi Neuroni, Emanuele Edoardo Angelidis, and Marta Neuroni have successfully completed the sale of 3.1 million ordinary shares in the company.

Of the total, 928,488 ordinary shares were sold following the exercise of the discretionary increase option, corresponding to approximately 10% of SYS-DAT's share capital, at a price of EUR 6.00 per share, for a total value of EUR 18.8 million.

Among SMEs, Doxee is up 6.3%, following Wednesday's 3.2% gain.

ATON Green Storage is down 3.9% after two bullish sessions, with a new price of around EUR 2.45 per share. It should be noted that the stock has increased its market cap by almost 20% in the last five sessions.

Racing Force Group, up 4.6%, announced on Thursday that High Protection Systems, its latest brand created to adapt and develop cutting-edge motorsport safety technologies for head protection devices for law enforcement and defense, has been awarded its first major multi-year contract.

The board of Casta Diva Group - down 6.8% - announced that it had approved the financial statements as of December 31, closing with a net profit of EUR 1.0 million compared to EUR 1.9 million in 2023. Revenues from sales and services amounted to EUR 121.9 million, up 10% on 2023, when they amounted to EUR 110.8 million.

Cofle, on the other hand, is down 6.8%, subject to profit taking after three sessions with a bullish candlestick and an aggregate gain of around 21%.

In New York last night, the Dow closed down 0.6%, the Nasdaq lost 0.5%, while the S&P was down 0.6%.

Among Asian markets, the Nikkei gained 1.8%, the Hang Seng closed up 1.4%, while the Shanghai Composite rose 0.7%.

Among currencies, the euro traded at USD 1.1281 from USD 1.1306 on Wednesday evening, while the pound traded at USD 1.3473 from USD 1.3472 yesterday evening.

Among commodities, Brent crude traded at USD 65.88 per barrel from USD 64.92 per barrel on Wednesday evening, while gold was worth USD 3,279.64 per ounce from USD 3,324.11 per ounce yesterday evening.

The macroeconomic calendar for Thursday afternoon, at 1430 CEST, will see the release of numerous indicators from the US: continuing jobless claims, the core PCE price index, quarterly GDP, and initial jobless claims.

At 4:00 p.m. CEST, pending home sales data is expected from the US.

In the evening, at 9:00 p.m. CEST, Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey is scheduled to give a speech, while at 10:30 p.m. CEST, the Federal Reserve's balance sheet will be released.
