Chinese pharmaceutical company WuXi AppTec posted strong annual profit and revenue growth and expects sales momentum to pick up this year.
The company said Monday that net profit last year more than doubled to 19.19 billion yuan, equivalent to $2.79 billion. Full-year revenue rose 16% to 45.46 billion yuan.
For 2026, it projected total revenue of between 51.3 billion yuan and 53.0 billion yuan, with revenue from continuing operations expected to grow 18% to 22%.
WuXi AppTec said the operating performance forecast is based on its current order backlog. That is subject to "the stable development of the global pharmaceutical industry, the stability of the international trade environment and regulatory environment of the countries where the main operations of the company are located," it said.
Its backlog for continuing operations reached 58 billion yuan as of the end of 2025, up 29% from a year earlier.
Revenue from continuing operations from U.S.-based customers increased 34%, while that from China fell 3.5%, it said.
It proposed a cash dividend distribution plan totaling a record 5.7 billion yuan in 2026.
