The car manufacturer Volvo Cars' nomination committee has proposed expanding the board with two new members, nominating Pieter Nota and Caroline Grégoire-Sainte-Marie as new board members. As a result, the company intends to convene an extraordinary general meeting to be held on December 8. This information was disclosed in a press release.

Pieter Nota is a former member of the executive board (Vorstand) at BMW, with responsibility for customer relations, brand, and sales. He has previously held senior positions at Royal Philips, Beiersdorf, and Unilever.

Caroline Grégoire-Sainte-Marie is an independent board member and a member of the audit committee at Vinici, as well as a board member and member of the audit and CSR committees at Fnac Darty. She has held a number of previous board appointments and has served in executive roles as CEO of Lafarge Germany, CEO of Tarmac France and Belgium, and CEO of Frans Bonhomme.

Provided that the extraordinary general meeting approves the nomination committee's proposal, 40 percent of the board members will be women.
