Engineering group Valmet is set to deliver a new stationary lime cooler to the Heinzel Pöls pulp mill in Austria.

The new solution is expected to enhance energy efficiency in the lime kiln, reduce maintenance requirements, and enable increased capacity.

The order was booked during the first quarter, and the new cooler is scheduled to go into operation during the fourth quarter of 2027. Valmet states that the solution will provide lower fuel consumption through more efficient heat recovery. No order value was disclosed.
