Finnish engineering giant Valmet has been awarded a contract by Gren Tartu to supply a flue gas condenser and heat pumps for the biomass-fired combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Tartu, Estonia.

The solution is designed to recover heat from flue gases, contributing over 10 MW of additional thermal capacity to the local district heating network while simultaneously reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
